Synopsis:

Caiden and Jamie discuss Travitha’s witch powers before taking advantage of their alone time together.

Excerpt:

Caiden walked into the bedroom and pressed his hand against the wood, quietly closing to door behind him.

“She has them,” he said as he whipped around to look at Jamie.

Jamie took a deep breath as her eyes filled with concern. “Oh god. Is she okay? I should go talk to her,” she started to walk towards him.

Caiden put his hand out reassuringly. “She’ll be okay…I think. She’s just a little freaked. Understandably. I told her though we can go with her to the Magic Realm to learn more about her powers, “ he paused as he scanned Jamie’s furrowed brow. “But I think this is something she may want to do on her own.”

Jamie’s lip began to quiver. “What if she can’t handle these powers? What if they’re evil? Is good magic even possible? I don’t know anything about witchcraft other than what Summer and Travitha did. Are we in danger? Oh god. Am I terrible for even thinking that way?” Jamie buried her face into her hands as the anguish consumed her. She dropped down onto the edge of the bed, her butt sinking into the mattress.

Caiden’s face turned solemn as he watched his wife falling to pieces. He rushed across the floor and kneeled down beside her. He delicately intertwined his fingers in hers as he pulled her hand away from her face. Holding her hand in his palm, he looked up at her.

“She can handle it. I know she can. She’s not —,” his Adam’s apple bobbed as he contemplated his next words. “We’ve raised her to be a wonderful, beautiful, caring sim. There’s no evil in her. She just doesn’t know how to control it yet. But maybe when she does…instead of being the source of evil, she’ll be the one who’s able to stop it. I know we don’t know much…or anything really about the Magic Realm. But I have to believe there’s good in it too. Summer abused it like she did everything.”

Jamie looked up at him with weepy eyes. He cupped his hand around her cheek and lightly pecked her on the lips before gazing back into the brown pools of her eyes. “I’m not worried and you shouldn’t be either. That girl in there is headstrong. She’ll figure this out. We’re not in danger. I promise.”

Jamie pressed her hand against his. The warmth of his hand was centering. Calming. She gently nodded at him, letting him know that she believed him with all of her heart. With a deep sigh, she threw herself backwards onto the bed. “How did we get here?”
