Thank you for following my Sims story!
Hi everyone! I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Justine Thomas and I have been playing The Sims since the original came out in 2000 when I was 9 years old. My parents bribed me with a computer game to learn addition and subtraction. Who knew my parents would then spend years adding up how many sims games they had to buy me!
Even though I’ve been playing for over 20 years, the first time I ever played a legacy was in 2017. I played that family up until starting Hannah’s journey in 2022. I learned a lot by playing my previous legacy about how to make exciting stories through organic gameplay and keep the fun going! I began Hannah’s story in June of 2022 and I was shocked how much the story exploded with an ever-growing fan base.
Thank you all so much for following my story and letting me share my creativity! You have no idea how much fun this is for me and I hope to keep doing it for a long, long time.

5 Fun Facts About Me
- I sing! My first album is out October 23, 2026. I love thinking of my single, “Not Something Adults Should Say” as the perspective of my sims sometimes. They really have “no idea that we have no idea”. Listen to my music.
- I love 90s/00s TV, movies, and music. I can pretty much always guarantee I’m rewatching something whether it’s Buffy, Beverly Hills 90210 (the original only!), Friends…the list goes on!
- I love party planning and cake decorating! I plan crazy immersive scavenger hunts for my kids and build props to turn my house into whatever universe they’re obsessed with.
- I’m from the states but live permanently in New Zealand with my family. You can read my love story here!
- I love to write (obviously) and am working on a romcom novel based on Travis and Hannah’s love story.
What inspired me to begin storytelling…
Back in 2017, after playing The Sims since the original came out, I finally found myself playing my very first legacy. I fell in love with the character I made and her story. I’d share the details with my sister, who’s also an avid player, regularly. I played that legacy for 13 generations and up until creating Hannah in 2022. Honestly, the save file was getting really glitchy and hard to manage so it was time for a switch. I feel like finding a sim you connect with is rare, but I got lucky with Hannah! When I first began, I was hopeful she’d become my next legacy, but I never imagined her story would create such a following! I did one post sharing her ridiculous love life and was overwhelmed with the feedback from the community. I knew after that, I had to keep sharing her journey!
I’m also always inspired by the way my kids play. As adults, we tend to get disappointed by the lack of options in the game. But when they play, they use their imaginations to make elaborate stories. It’s easy to feel the game isn’t enough if you’re not being creative while you play. But if you let your imagination run wild, you’ll find there is plenty to do! I wanted to show other simmers that you can play the game even without mods and still have a great time.
The Sims Favorite Facts
- What’s my favorite Sims generation? My favorite version of the Sims is the Sims 4. I love the opened world of 3 but the game was always freezing on me and eventually became unplayable when I got Into the Future.
- Which pack do I miss most? I loved Sims 3 Showtime! I miss having singers and concerts in my game. For the same reason, I also have fond memories of Sims 1 Superstar. I loved the little recording booth as well as the runway modeling in that pack!
- Which Sims 4 pack couldn’t I live without? City Living. As much as I wanted to say Seasons or Growing Together for family play, all of my sims seem to start in the city. I love that pack for my single sims starting out!
