The next morning, Caiden was examining the treasure he found on their last trip. “This isn’t it,” he thought as he looked at it. “This relic is missing something,” he mumbled to himself.
As Jamie played the piano, Caiden walked inside. “Jamie. I need to go on another treasure hunt. The relic isn’t complete. Will you and Travitha be okay if I go?” Jamie lifted her hands from the keys. “We’ll be fine,” she smiled.
Just then, Travitha arrived home. Thanks to Caiden and Jamie’s help, she was now a C student!
Caiden pulled out his phone and prepared for his first solo trip!
When he arrived, he headed straight to the jungle. He only had one night to complete the mission, as he didn’t want to leave Jamie and Travitha for too long.
“Alright, let’s do this,” he thought as he swung the sword.
Rushing the mission definitely came with some challenges…
But thanks to his sleep-be-gone potions, he managed to persevere!
As he reached the final part of the temple, once again, he made an educated guess. Luckily it was correct and no poisonous darts flew his way this time!
“Jamie! I’m so close to the treasure, I can feel it!” Caiden said as he called her before he continued to the final part of his mission. “I’ll be home soon, baby, I promise.”
Caiden ran inside and using all of his strength, pushed opened the treasure chest.
“Yes! This is it!” he cheered. He couldn’t wait to show Jamie the latest treasure he found.
Caiden returned home right away and chiseled away at the crystal he had found.
Now refined, he placed it inside the relic.
“Jamie! Jamie! It’s working!” he said as its eyes closed. “Is it supposed to do that?” he worried.
He brought it to Jamie and threw it into the air. It worked! She was suddenly blessed with good fortune.
Back in Tartosa, Jarrett and Tomi were spending as much time as they could with Cheesy.
While Tomi became family oriented though…
Jarrett felt immense pressure to keep working. He had to finish crafting processors for work after all.
Tomi didn’t mind though spending all of her minutes snuggling Cheesy…
For the most part anyways.
After his blowout, she bathed him.
Changed him.
And tucked him into bed.
The next morning, Jarrett sat down on the floor to spend time with Cheesy.
He suddenly felt sad. Work was taking over his life and he felt like he was missing out on all of the important milestones. “Look how easy it is for Cheesy to lift his head now,” he thought. Will Jarrett be able to find the right work-life balance for himself? Keep following to find out.
Caiden heads out for another night of treasure hunting; Tomi takes care of Cheesy while Jarrett works.
Did You Know?
I’ve always sent sims on missions to the jungle for multiple days so it was a real test for me to see if Caiden could complete his adventure in only one night!
I researched what the relic did before using it to make sure it wouldn’t cause any harm to Jamie or Caiden.
Since Growing Together came out, Jarrett was getting burnt out very quickly from all of his work, affecting his normally cheerful mood. Even though I’ve always liked keeping him light and playful to balance the drama of the series, I found it important to show that even someone bubbly like him can go through their own challenges and hard times. In tomorrow’s bonus chapter, this will very much be the focus as we see how it is truly affecting Tomi.
