“Woah woah woah. I’m not going to starve. I’ll garden and fish for food if I have to.“
Travis took a deep breath. “Carter, I’m not going to stand by and let you do this. You’re still a teenager and I still have a say in your life,” he said. “But Dad!” Carter pleaded.
“Please, mom and dad. I need to do this. I want to be the first sim in this world who hits it big by busking! I know it seems like the impossible dream but I’m going to make it happen.”
Hannah and Travis stared at Carter.
“I love you both but if you can’t support me on this, I think it’s clear what I have to do. I have to move out.”
“Carter, can we please just talk about this more? That’s not what your dad and I are saying,” Hannah said as Travis stood back up.
“I’m sorry mom but I’ve made my decision,” he said pulling out his phone.
He arrived at the only house he could afford. It was a small cabin in the middle of the woods.
“I wonder why this place was so cheap,” he thought, paranoid.
A gnome ghost floated above the bushes, staring at him.
“Well that’s kind of creepy,” he thought.
Carter ran inside his new digs as quickly as he could.
It was small… and definitely needed a good clean…
But it was perfect, he thought.
He quickly settled in and took a nap.
Afterwards, he jumped out of bed and started strumming away on his guitar.
“Yeah!!! Heard a sound. That a ghost? Don’t go searching. You might be toast!” he sang at the top of his lungs.
Afterwards, he took a selfie and posted it to Simstagram. “Let the Rockstar dreams begin!” he wrote.
Back in Taratosa, Tomi and Jarrett finally had a moment of silence with no visitors at the house.
“Maybe while Cheesy sleeps, I can get some baby proofing done,” Tomi said.
Little did they know, downstairs, Hannah and Travis were coming over for a surprise… extended visit.
Travis waved up his arm and shouted. “Yoo-hoo! Anyone home?!”
Jarrett came walking down the stairs. “Mom! Dad! What are you doing here?”
Still feeling hurt that Carter moved out, Hannah frowned. “We came to surprise you and meet Little Cheesy…” she paused. “Is that okay?”
Jarrett hugged Hannah. “Of course it is! You know you’re always welcome here, Mom.” Will Hannah and Travis be able to put their stress with Carter on the back burner while they meet their grandson for the very first time?
Carter moves into a place of his own, much to the dismay of his parents. Hannah and Travis head to stay with Jarrett and meet their grandson.
Did You Know?
In my gameplay, Hannah and Travis visited Tomi and Jarrett before Carter graduated and moved out. However, I found it more fitting for the storyline to place it afterwards.
I’ve desperately hoped for a band/music career pack to be released for Carter, but at this moment it doesn’t exist. While he could become a musician using the rabbit hole career track, I wanted to challenge myself and see if a life of busking and song writing could ever be profitable!
