She suddenly turned around and started walking off.
“So are we taking this conversation to the bowling alley? The arcade? Karaoke? I’m up for anything!”
“I actually had somewhere else in mind,” she said thinking of the local motel and bar. “Want to hit the Funk’n Dale Bar?”
“I’m not old enough to drink nectar or anything,” he said with a frown.
“Not what I had in mind,” she said fanning herself.
“Yeah, okay,” he said running up to her. “Let’s go.”
They arrived at the Funk’n Dale Bar and Motel in Strangerville but Elsie took Casey straight to the back.
“You’re really cute, you know that?” she said sitting down beside him on the bed. “Lucky me that you don’t have a girlfriend.”
Without a word, he pulled her in for a kiss.
“I’m as free and single as they come,” he whispered into her ear.
Suddenly, they jumped each other and were messing around in the motel room.
“Oh Leila!” he yelled out.
Elsie quickly jumped out of bed and threw on her clothes.
“Excuse me, what did you call me?”
“Sorry,” he smiled. “That was just my ex-girlfriend’s name. It was an accident.”
“I can’t believe you would say HER name while we’re messing around,” she scowled.
“Maybe if you had told me your name, I would’ve said yours instead.”
“Oh, that’s really cute,” she snarled.
“Get out of here,” she said turning away.
“Works for me!” He waved.
“See you around,” he said as he casually walked out the door.
Elsie frowned. What a waste of an afternoon, she thought. I didn’t even manage to snatch his wallet!
