Synopsis: Casey’s life gets turned upside down when his ridiculous relationship with Reyna and his goofing off at school comes to a head.
Excerpt:
“Sweet lips! You called!” she beamed over the phone. “Are you coming to see the new place?”
Casey squirmed. How was he going to end this? Maybe I should start with something simple like “Reyna, I really love spending time with you but I think moving in together is way too fast. It doesn’t feel right, you know?”
Yeah, yeah, that’s perfect, he thought.
He cleared his throat. “Reyna? I really love —“
On the other end, Reyna was walking into the basement of the apartment complex and the reception was getting a bit fuzzy.
All she heard from Casey’s speech was, “Reyna, I really love — you — Moving in together — It — feels right. You know?”
“Oh Casey! I love you too!” she squealed.
Casey’s eyes doubled in size. Wait. Woah. What just happened? he thought. “No no, I think you —“
“I’m putting our name on this lovenest right now! The second you finish your semester, we’re moving in here for the next one!” she said eagerly before hanging up the phone.
“No! Reyna?! Reyna? Hello?” Casey frantically sputtered into the phone. Oh for the love of llamas and cowplants.
