After Annabelle’s birthday, Hannah prepares for the next chapter of her life as she comes to terms with her kids all being adults.

After Annabelle blew out her birthday candles, Hannah walked down the hallway into the living room. As she looked up at the family portrait, she wiped a tear away from her eye.
That was it. The last one. My baby is a woman now.
A half smile crept across her face as the bittersweetness of the moment brushed over her. Through all of the trials and tribulations, she had successfully raised five children.
It was touch and go there during those toddler years but— she sighed. I made it through. I made it through everything.
For more sim weeks than she could remember, she had dedicated her life to raising her children. Her face fell. Now what do I do?
When the kids were all teenagers and hormones were raging throughout the house, there were moments Hannah yearned for being an empty nester one day. She and Travis could move to a small house boat on the coast of Sulani and live out their days embracing finally having time for just them again.
But now it felt so imminent. The clock was moving faster than she ever realized. Back in the throes of it all, all she could think about was the silence one day. The peace. The quiet. Now, it felt like the quiet was only moments away and she wanted the noise back.
