As Caiden gets ready to leave Casey’s party to help Jamie, a series of events causes him to be delayed.
Excerpt:
Caiden stood inside the frat house’s basement as Casey walked away, heading upstairs. I am so worried about him, Caiden thought. Despite their many differences over the years, he had never seen Casey so directionless. Maybe I should talk to him again.
He took a deep breath as he prepared to approach his brother again. As he approached the bottom step, his phone vibrated.
“Hey babe. Can you come pick up Travitha from the Oaksteed home in Willow Creek? I’ll explain once you get here,” the text message from Jamie read.
