Read the Prologue: “Nightfall”

The sun slowly drifted below the hills as darkness began draping the streets. A sense of calm that had surrounded their worlds recently was fading, faster than they could see.

A new chapter was forming as they planned for their dreams. From babies to careers, there was nothing that suddenly seemed out of reach.

But they didn’t know what was to come. The pain. The destruction.

In the wake of the drama, they thought it was all behind them. A fleeting moment that could be left forever in the past. They turned their heads and carried on, certain nothing could take away the happiness they finally had. In blissful ignorance, they blinded themselves to the fates that awaited them.

The end wasn’t near anymore. It was just about here.

The Five Week Plan (Follows Chapter 289)

Where do I see myself in five weeks? Ever since I was a little boy, I’ve dreamed of working as a Hedge Fund Manager at Feng Robles Investments. I’ve always had a strong passion for business and know that with the proper university honors program, I could thrive. By seven weeks, I expect my own name to be on the door.

Where does my strong drive for personal achievement come from? Growing up, I always felt overshadowed by my family. No matter how much I accomplished, all eyes were always on my brother, Caiden Scott. Despite his lack of interest in academics and his irresponsible nature, he always felt like the family favorite. The focus. To be honest, there were weeks that went by in my own life that I can’t even remember because everyone was so focused on what the great and mysterious Caiden Scott was doing. But while he was off in Strangerville fighting monsters, I was studying and focusing on my straight A average.

Proudly, over one long weekend, I came to Caiden’s rescue in Strangerville. He was terrified of fighting the Motherplant alone and didn’t have any of the knowledge or skills to pull it off. He needed a cure invented. I used my scientific knowledge to bring down the Motherplant that day. Caiden may receive the Strangerville fan mail to this day, but the truth is, I was the brains behind the operation.

Despite my achievements though, I’ve spent my life fighting for the limelight. For the longest time, I believed the only way to be a part of this world was to be in Caiden’s, some way, somehow.

As of this week though, I’ve felt a new confidence confound me. Caiden hasn’t been here at home and I’ve thrived. I graduated and became valedictorian of my class! I was even the first Scott to attend their graduation because I was committed to staying focused on me since the moment I got the news I had graduated.

For the first time, I’ve felt prioritized in this world and like the focus will be on me for now on. I refuse to let that feeling slip away. I don’t mean to sound arrogant. It’s hard to understand if you’ve been a “favorite” sim all your life. But for those of you who haven’t been, I know you get me.

You know the pain of working all night on a class project only to never have the chance to turn it in because your sibling’s household was more important. You know the pain of falling in love, only to never spend time with your significant other because they aged up long before you and nobody thinks to age you up too…and yet your brother’s girlfriend has no problem finding a “magic cake” to age herself up. It was ridiculously selfish of them not to bring me a slice if you ask me.

As of now though, I’m letting the past be the past. I’m taking control of my life. I’m going to become my own focus in this world and achieve all of the greatness I’ve ever dreamed of. Just you wait and see. In seven weeks time, Feng Robles will become Feng Robles Scott Investments.

You can count on it.
