There comes a time in every simmers life that we feel an overwhelming need to add drama to our game. On the surface, it can often feel like the game doesn’t allow for a truly evil villain in The Sims 4. Even evil sims can’t do much other than walk around being mean. Or so, that’s what the creators let us believe. The truth is though, behind the curtain, there are many ways to let your evil sims become truly diabolical and bring misery on the town and their enemies. Mod-Free.
Look. I’m sure we’d never wish ill on our sims and I’m sure none of us have ever plotted against their wellbeing. Sometimes though, tragedy strikes and pools surrounded by walls get magically built. I’m not judging.
If you love creating stories for your sims and you’ve wanted to create an evil sim who sends other sims to the Grim Reaper, you may have asked yourself how you can do this mod-free.
I’m here to tell you all of the different ways your sim can directly cause another sim’s demise. I’ve used quite a few of these to carry out some crazy plot lines in my Sims 4 soap opera series, “The Legacy of Hannah McCoy” and let me tell you: the drama they bring is unmatched.
1. Snowball Attack
Requires The Sims 4: Seasons

If your target is wearing the wrong clothes in the midst of winter, chances are, they’re pretty cold. If your sim has a grudge against them, this is the perfect time to throw some snowballs at them. It won’t happen right away but if you keep throwing them, the target will get colder and colder until they become a block of ice. My vigilante sim took out the most evil villain in The Sims 4 of all, Summer Holiday, using this method at the end of Season 10 of “The Legacy of Hannah McCoy” and we are all grateful for it.
2. Fire Spell
Requires The Sims 4: Realm of Magic

It may seem obvious that your sim can cast a spell to set another sim on fire. However, when they specifically target the sim, the sim will always survive, after some rapid jumping around. The trick to pulling this off is to set fire to the ground below them. Sometimes, the sim will run away before the ground catches fire, but if you’re lucky, your target will remain standing right there. Once they’re caught in the flames, it’s all over. Don got lucky when the firewoman ultimately returned and saved his life in the Season 7 premiere of “The Legacy of Hannah McCoy”, but Liberty Lee didn’t fair nearly as well later that season.
3. Relic Curse
Requires The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure

The most dastardly of all, if your evil villain in the Sims 4 collect specific relics in the jungle and creates their own death relic, they can curse another sim. Depending on the gem that’s placed inside, the results can range from poison to fire.
Collect relic parts until you can create Zazatoltl Death Relic. If you get three of these, you can make three different versions based on the quality of crystal that’s inserted.
Common Crystal: Marks a targeted sim for electrocution. One zap may not send them to the reaper but they can and will be zapped multiple times. If the target doesn’t get an antidote in time, they will be gone.
Uncommon Crystal: Marks the targeted sim to burst into flames. This fire can and will send them to the reaper unless they’re put out or given an antidote before they burst into flames.
Rare Crystal: Poisons the targeted sim and gives them three days to live.
These relics can be used repeatedly after a cooling off period so the sky is really the limit if you want to create a dastardly villain in your game!
When Chloe used the curse on my beloved sim Jamie in Season 15, I feared it was all over. Thankfully, Caiden pleaded with the Reaper and managed to save her life.
4. Woohoo (Base Game)
Requires The Sims 4 Base Game

Everybody loves a Black Widow challenge. If your sim is looking to score some money from the wealthy elderly, woohoo them until they just can’t woohoo no more. Of course, in Don Lothario’s case, this was all just a pipe dream by my villain in The Sims 4, Chloe, the Black Widow. In reality, she tried eight times to wipe him out and he still managed to survive in Season 12. What can I say: all of that woohoo practice really did make him invincible!
5. Lightning Superpowers
Requires The Sims 4: Seasons
If your sim is lucky enough to survive multiple lightning strikes and gain temporary superpowers, they can use their powers to summon lightning anywhere they’d like. Strike another sim a couple of times and let fate take the wheel.
6. The Classic Doorless Room
Requires The Sims 4 Base Game
Trap a sim inside a room without all of the necessities and watch them suffer. Take it a step further and create a basement dungeon for them and remove the stairs. Or just lock the door, set up a giant window to the room for them to watch, and have your psychopathic sim paint portraits of the suffering sims. Your villain in The Sims 4 needs something for their Dexter like trophies, right?
7. The Fireplace Room
Requires The Sims 4 Base Game (can be enhanced with The Sims 4: Seasons)

Let your evil villain in The Sims 4 trap a sim inside a room full of fireplaces. Throw down plenty of rugs and other objects to attract kindling. Light the fireplaces and lock the door once your sim leaves. If you have the Sims 4 Seasons and it’s summer time, you won’t even need a fire to spread. Eventually, the sim will head to the reaper from being overheated!
Malcolm Landgraab took out one of his very own mobsters in Season 18 after he thought Hakim betrayed him. Now, every sim in town better watch their back. Who knows who could be next!
8. The Fireworks Room
Requires The Sims 4: City Living
This is risky as your evil villain in The Sims 4 needs to be inside the room to set off the fireworks. Once in the room with the target, lock the door so only your sim can get out. Set off the firework and then run like wind, leaving the other sim behind.
9. The Sauna Trap
Requires The Sims 4: Spa Day and The Sims 4: Seasons
Invite some sims into the sauna and then lock them inside. The heat will eventually send them off to the Reaper.
10. The Pufferfish Dinner
Requires The Sims 4: City Living
Maybe your sim is an assassin and wants to bring down an entire dinner party? Cook up some pufferfish (and hope your sim made a bad batch!) and invite the guests to eat it! Just don’t eat it yourself.
11. The Murphy Bed Stay-Over
Requires The Sims 4: Tiny Living
Invite the unsuspecting sim over for a stay-over or make stay-over phone calls more exciting by “accepting” every time a sim calls to invite themselves over for a few days. Let the stay in your guest room which coincidentally, only has a Murphy bed available. Lock the door and play a little Russian Roulette. Will they survive opening up the bed?
What’s the most diabolical thing your sim has ever done to another sim? Have you ever tried one of these methods? Sound off in the comments below!
