Cindy Sour is just trying to fit in… or in this case, get fit. But never having been to a gym before, she’s not quite sure where to start. When she tries asking for help, things don’t exactly go smoothly… and as always, her feelings about it are written all over her face in this Sims 4 City Living Short Story.
“Cindy Sour Tries to Get Fit”
Cindy Sour decided to try out the local gym for the first time.
She stared at the treadmill. There were so many buttons. How would she know which one to use?!
“How do you turn this thing on?” she asked out loud.
“If you don’t know how to turn on a treadmill, clearly you don’t spend enough time working out. All it takes to get fit like me is dedication. Eat only yogurts from your fridge and do an endurance run,” the woman preached instead of helping.
“I’m here every single day, running on the highest incline… and I’ve gotta tell you: If I slipped on a banana peel tomorrow, I wouldn’t even notice. That’s how good of shape I’m in,” she continued to brag as Cindy got the treadmill working.
Cindy had it with the woman’s constant bragging and started mocking her from behind.
“Well la de da,” she accidentally said out loud.
The woman looked over at Cindy. “Are you mocking me?!”
Oh, Llamas. She wasn’t supposed to hear that, Cindy thought.
“Look, some of us just have more important things to do than spend every minute at the gym,” Cindy said matter-of-factly.
“Hey lady! If you lived in a neighborhood brawl zone, you’d be fit too!”
“What does that even mean?” Cindy said confused.
“Woah. F***!!!!” Cindy shouted as she slipped.
Well that timing couldn’t have been worse, she thought.
As Cindy found her footing and went back to mocking her, the woman pointed, “See? If you had balance like me —“
“Ahhhh!” she suddenly screamed as she flew off the treadmill.
“You were saying?” Cindy glared.
The woman sat at the edge of the treadmill, dizzy from her fall. Embarrassed, she got up and left without another word.
With no need to impress anyone now, Cindy jumped off the treadmill and headed straight to the shower.
As she left, she accidentally made a wrong turn and ended up at the rooftop bar.
“Now this is what I call a quality workout!” She thought as she shook the cocktail mixer to make herself a drink.
