Season 5, Episode 11, Chapter 72

As Caiden played with his soccer ball, Don made the bed.
Now, how do we escape? Don thought to himself. Just as he was thinking, he heard a loud noise.
Summer decided to up the security so they’d be trapped forever. But she put the vault door in the wrong direction. Don and Caiden rushed to the opened door.
Caiden was exhausted but thrilled he escaped.
Don stood there contemplating what to do next.
When Summer went into the basement to check on her captives and lock the vault door, she turned around to lock it.
She waved her hand around to check that it worked.
But when she turned around, she noticed Don and Caiden weren’t there. “Where did my family go?!” She thought to herself.
Summer headed to the bathroom to see if they were hiding inside.
While she was in the bathroom, Don came downstairs and flipped the vault door around.
Summer left the bathroom and realized she couldn’t leave. “Oh no! I’m trapped!! Help!!” Summer yelled.
Don stood outside listening. The vault was locked by Summer and nobody would ever be able to unlock it again. He was done with her for good. They all were.
He left the basement…
And headed into the kitchen where he saw Caiden grabbing a bite of food.
“Summer won’t be bothering you ever again. You’re safe now.”
“I should let your parents know you’re safe, I guess,” he said.
“It’s not even 5am, I can probably sneak back in without them even realizing I was gone. I’ve perfected sneaking out,” he said with a smile.
“Perfected it so much, you got kidnapped,” Don mumbled. He ignored Caiden and pulled out his phone to call Hannah and Travis.
How would he ever explain this to them? Maybe Caiden was right. He could just sneak back inside. He put the phone away without calling Hannah and Travis.
Down in the basement, Summer laid back on the cold tile bathroom floor.
She pouted. How could she have been so careless? She lost her family, she thought.
“Well Don, it’s been real…interesting, I’m going home now,” Caiden said.
“Bye Biter,” Don said.
Suddenly Don felt sad.
I’m going to miss that snarky little kid, he thought.
Back downstairs, Summer wandered over to her cauldron. Oooo I forgot this was down here, she thought.
“One day, my magic will be so strong I’ll break out of this basement,” she said to herself.
Upstairs, Don got dressed and was ready to leave when suddenly, he noticed Travitha sleeping.
He knelt down to look at her. She was kind of cute too, he thought.
Without a thought, he instinctively kissed her on the forehead.
As he looked at her, he realized, with Summer trapped downstairs, Travitha was his responsibility now.
Oddly, that thought didn’t fill him with the dread he always thought it would. He felt something else… he felt love.
