Season 5, Episode 9, Chapter 70

“Oh Caiden, hi. Do you remember me? It’s me, Summer,” she said.
“Of course I remember you. You’re the crazy person my parents know.”
“I’m not crazy. I’m your daddy’s best friend. We just had a little falling out is all.”
“Before he knew your mommy, he and I were the best of friends. We even lived together.”
“Really?” Caiden said. What if his friendship with Leila fell apart just like Summer and his dad, he thought.
“I just want to be his best friend again,” Summer said. “Is he around here, somewhere?”
“No, it’s just me,” Caiden said proudly. He felt so grown up being out after dark, alone.
“Maybe I should take you back home to him? Maybe then he’ll forgive me and be my best friend again,” Summer said. “That sounds like a good idea,” Caiden said.
“If I believed anything you said,” Caiden glared up at her.
“Seriously, kid?”
“You literally dressed up as my mom, you psycho,” he said walking away. Where’s an airplane when you need one? He thought.
“Oh Caiden…”
“You ain’t seen nothing yet,” she said.
She ran up and jumped in front of him.
“You’re coming with me.”
“You can’t make me go anywhere with you,” Caiden said.
He slapped her hand away as she tried to grab his arm.
“Oh really, kid?” Suddenly she made Caiden a part of her group and pulled out her phone.
“We’re going to take a little ride,” she said.
When they arrived in front of her house, she suddenly realized she just kidnapped Caiden. What am I doing? She thought.
Oh that’s right, making my family complete. Tehehe, she giggled.
“Get inside kid,” she said rudely. For some reason, Caiden had an unexplainable urge to follow her. He didn’t know why.
Caiden followed her down the ladder into the basement. Why are there so many pictures of my dad in here? he thought. And is that a statue of him?! This is creepy.
“This is your new home, son,” she said as Caiden glared at her.
“I’m sorry, Caiden. I really didn’t want to do this but your mommy and daddy gave me no choice.”
Caiden looked up at her. “Being crazy is always a choice,” he snarked.
“Shhh, your Daddy is sleeping,” she said glaring.
Paying no attention to who the man in the bed was, Caiden exclaimed, “You know my parents will notice I’m not there. I have school tomorrow. My teachers will notice too.”
“You can do school here. This is your school now. And your home,” Summer said before leaving the basement.
As the door locked behind him, Caiden shouted out, “Help!!! I’m trapped!”
