Don knocked on the door and let himself inside.
When he walked into the kitchen, he saw Travis and shoved him.
“I’m here to show you that you might have Hannah, but I can still kick your butt in a fight any day of the week.”
“You broke into my house to fight me?” Travis said with a look of disgust on his face. “And you think you’re going to win?”
“You got that right, man,” Don said as he started hitting Travis.
The two of them battled in the kitchen.
But it wasn’t like old times. Travis had muscle now.
“Was that all you had to prove? Because it didn’t seem to go very well for you ol’ Donny boy,” Travis said.
“You hurt my head, man,” Don said, holding his head.
“And I’ll hurt more than that if you ever come in here again. I don’t want to see you in my house ever again.”
“Yeah… yeah. Okay,” Don said as things got a little hazy.
“But I’ll tell you one last thing —“ he paused. “I’m going to hit the gym!” Don yelled.
As Don walked off to leave, he saw the kids sitting in the living room. Hmmm…maybe I won’t leave just yet, Don thought.
He sat down with Caiden and Annabelle and stared at them.
“Hey kiddies. Wanna hear a story about your Mommy and Daddy?” Don said. Annabelle looked intrigued while Caiden was already uncomfortable with Don’s presence.
“Well once upon a time, there was a prince who wanted to get married at this beautiful plane wreck. But when that magical day came, his Princess to be — your Mommy, broke his heart for the evil computer man, your Daddy,” Don said with a gasp. Annabelle looked at Caiden confused while he scratched his head.
Caiden glared at Don. My Mommy and Daddy are the best, he thought.
“You know…you look just like your mommy, little girl. And you know what? She’s a very, very, mean person,” said Don. Annabelle listened with a worried look while Caiden glared at Don. How dare you insult Mommy! He thought.
“Are you a mean person too?” Don said to Annabelle as Casey walked by frowning. Who is this stranger? He thought to himself.
Annabelle started crying. She didn’t want to be a mean person. Caiden was even angrier now. How dare this strange man make his little sister cry!
When Don wandered back to the now empty kitchen looking for Travis, Caiden followed him.
“Who’s an itsy Bitsy little one?” Don said with the dumbest baby voice.
Caiden pretended to cry.
But when Don stuck his arm out, Caiden bit him.
Chomp!
“Ow!” Don wailed.
Hannah arrived home and walked into the kitchen. She face palmed when she saw Don.
And then she yelled. “What are you doing here Don? Stay away from my house. Stay away from my family.”
