He came home with his head hanging low.
“Your matchmaking didn’t work. Summer won’t leave me alone,” Travis said, devastated.
“What happened?!” Hannah asked.
“She said she was in love with me! She tried to break us up!”
“No! OMG. But I thought she liked Jason!” Hannah gasped.
“I told her we were done as friends.”
“I’ll never see her again.”
“You’re my one and only.”
“You always will be.”
He pulled Hannah close to him.
And then stepped back, holding her hands in his while gazing into her eyes.
He knew he didn’t need anyone else as long as he had Hannah.
“I love you so much,” she said as she kissed him on the cheek. “There’s one thing I have to do though Hannah…” Travis said.
They went next door to Jason’s house. “Hi Jason, you remember my husband Travis, from our double date?” Hannah said.
Hannah wasn’t sure Travis should tell him since they barely knew each other…
“Hey man,” Travis said with a wave as Hannah nervously eyed him.
“I need to tell you something: your girlfriend Summer has been hitting on me.”
“She told me she’s in love with me.”
“Come on… is this a joke?” Jason said.
“What? No! She’s literally trying to wreck my marriage. She’s obsessed with me.”
“Look, we just met and I don’t think you understand. We are in love.”
Travis was distraught.
Hannah looked at Travis, “I will explain.”
“Jason, Summer has been chasing Travis for a while. I thought she moved on… but…”
“She told Travis today she was in love with him. I swear, it’s true.”
Jason didn’t understand why his new neighbor set him up with such a terrible woman. One week in this neighborhood and he’s already engulfed in drama.
He sighed. “Okay, I’ll talk to Summer about this.”
Afterward, Travis tried to break the awkward tension and start a conversation with Jason.
“So how about those snow angels, huh? They’re pretty fun to make…”
“Oh yeah…snow…it’s great,” Jason said. This conversation was so awkward, he thought to himself.
Jason abruptly said goodbye and went inside. Travis stood there thinking: maybe I should’ve picked a more interesting ice breaker. Whoops. Keep following Sim Life Chronicles to find out what happens next.
