“It’s so good to see you Travis,” Summer said as she gave him a hug.
“It’d be even better if I saw you in your underwear, but I guess it’s too cold for that!” She said with a laugh.
Travis was appalled. “Summer, these inappropriate comments need to stop.”
“Travis, I’m not going to deny that I like you. Because I do. And I know you like me too. I can see it in your eyes.”
“What on earth are you talking about Summer?!?” Travis said, his eyes widening.
“You must feel the heat between us. It’s practically melting the ice.”
“The only heat I feel right now is rage.”
“I’m in love with you Travis. Aren’t you in love with me? Don’t you want to have babies with me? We could be a family. We could have everything.”
“Summer. I— I’m sorry. But, no.”
“We could be great together. Just one date! You’ll see!”
“You’re crazy. You need to back off.”
“You know how you once told me to move… I think it’s time you move elsewhere, Summer. Get a fresh start.”
Summer felt her heart break.
“Travis, no. No! I’m sorry, I didn’t mean—“
“You absolutely did mean everything you said.”
“Please, you’re my best friend. I’m sorry, it won’t happen again.”
Travis stared at her in disbelief. He wasn’t naive.
He turned around and started to walk away, leaving Summer standing there in the cold.
Summer frowned. I don’t think he’s getting it, she thought to herself.
“It’s kind of your fault you know. With that hot body you’ve got now. You know you’re like ridiculously hot, right? It’s hard to resist.”
“Summer!” Travis stood there, appalled.
“What? I was being funny.”
“It was just a joke, I swear.”
Travis had it. “It was not a joke Summer. It hasn’t been a joke for a long time.”
“I have five kids! A wife! I’m done with this. I’m done with you. This is not okay.”
“You are not going to destroy my life. I have everything I’ve ever wanted. I have the most amazing woman in my life and nothing you say is going to change that.”
Summer gasped.
“We’re done.”
“You’ve never been mean to me. I don’t like you when you’re like this.”
WTF!!! How is she not going away?!? He thought.
As the anger passed, he caught Summer’s eyes. He felt a wave of sadness creep over him as he saw his oldest friend and realized. Their friendship was over forever.
She stared at him, waiting for him to apologize.
When he didn’t, she yelled back. “I thought you were better than this. I love you Travis… you can’t be serious right now. It should be you and me!”
She’s never going to go away, he frowned.
“This is unbelievable Summer. Maybe you should date Don with an attitude like this!”
“Woah, Don?!? Really, Travis?”
“I don’t want to see you ever again, Summer.”
Summer glared at him.
And stormed off, furious.
She then turned around and shouted one thing back to him: “Maybe I’ll give Don a chance after all. If you don’t like him, maybe he and I will have something in common.”
Travis walked the other way. He was sad to lose his best friend, but he knew this was for the best. Keep following Sim Life Chronicles to find out what happens next!
