Just then, as the photographer they hired for the party took out his camera, Jamie walked inside.
“Of course you’re still not wearing clothes. Why do you even bother owning any?” Jamie glared.
As Jamie glared at Chloe, Leila looked at her. That girl looks so familiar, she thought, not recognizing Jamie with her new hairstyle.
Caiden and Don arrived just as Leila headed outside for some fresh air. “Oh hey, Leila,” Caiden said in passing.
“Hey, Caiden,” she said. I can’t believe he just walked past me. Boy, has our friendship dissolved, she thought.
“So Annabelle, how’s it going?” Jamie said. Annabelle smiled at her. “Pretty great actually! I feel like life is finally coming together!”
Just then, Don walked in behind them. “Chloe, baby! Looking hot as always!”
Jarrett came up beside Don. “We actually told her to put her clothes back on,” he said.
“What?! But why?!” Don said in terror.
“This is a kids friendly party. I’ve got a toddler here. It’s not appropriate.”
“What do you mean, not appropriate? Chloe walked around Travitha all the time completely naked. It was no big deal.”
“Is that why she’s being raised by my son and daughter-in-law then?” Travis chimed in.
“Speaking of!” Travis turned to Caiden and Jamie. “How’s married life? Are you working on grandkids yet?”
“Not quite yet,” Jamie smiled, gazing at her new husband.
“You know how it is, Dad. Right now we’re really focused on Travitha and her well being,” Caiden said side eyeing Don.
“There’s nothing more important to us right now than making sure she’s taken care of.”
“You’ve really become an amazing father to her, Caiden. She’s so lucky to have you,” Travis said as Don listened happily and completely missing the point. It’s so nice she’s being well taken care of, he thought.
“Well I learned from the best,” Caiden smiled as Travis beamed.
Carter frowned. I want to move back home, he thought wistfully. Mom and Dad really are the best… and neither of them want me to be a ghost so that’s a plus.
As they continued to chat, Hannah picked up Cheesy and carried him to the high chair.
“Are you ready to eat your very first cheesy eyeball?” Hannah asked.
Cheesy smiled. It was so funny his name was Cheesy and his Daddy’s favorite dish was called Cheesy eyeballs, he thought.
“Time to eat Daddy’s balls!” Cheesy exclaimed.
Chloe exited the closet after putting on her clothes. “Well this just sucks now, doesn’t it,” she thought.
In the kitchen, Travitha was trying to talk to her dad. “No. I didn’t spill paint on my head, Dad. Jamie dyed it! Didn’t you notice I looked different at the wedding… and the rehearsal dinner?”
“Dinner is served everyone!” Hannah called out.
While the turkey sat on the table, balls were flying off the platter! It seemed everyone wanted a taste tonight.
“After another member of the family’s balls?” Casey quipped to Leila.
“Seriously?”
“Just thought I’d check,” Casey said as Leila continued to stare at him.
Caiden couldn’t help but overhear. “Oh boy…this is gonna be good,” he thought. The chaos of the evening is only beginning. What will happen next?
