Giving Thanks for Some Things (and Maybe Not Others)
“I think I’ve seen Jare do this enough times now that I can help. You mix all of the cheese in first, right?” Tomi said trying to coax him over.
Her plan worked. Jarrett came over right away to fix the dish. “No, no Tomi. You have to mix in just the right amount of cheese to start and then you slowly add more as you go.”
Jarrett smiled. He didn’t realize how relaxing it would be to cook again. Cheesy watched happily as his grandma and dad worked together in the kitchen.
That looks like so much fun, he thought.
“Now mom! This is the secret ingredient that Caiden totally missed when he tried making the eyeballs for my wedding. It’s my super secret cheesy ball sauce!”
“It’s the perfect creamy consistency!”
Jarrett spun the bowl over his shoulders as he mixed the sauce in.
“Wow! I’ve been cooking all my life and I still can’t do that. You’ve got a real talent, Jarrett.”
Cheesy walked up to Jarrett. “Daddy?” he asked.
“You happy now,” he smiled.
Meanwhile, Tomi headed outside to try and help finish Jarrett’s robot part for work.
Jarrett came outside with Cheesy to find Tomi. “What are you doing?” he asked.
“I was trying to help you finish. Although, I’m not sure I did it quite right.”
He sat down and hugged Cheesy.
“It’s okay Tomi. I don’t need to finish the robot.”
“All I need is this little man here to see me happy.”
Cheesy squeezed Jarrett tight. “I wove you Daddy.”
Tomi’s heart melted as she watched them hug. There was nothing she was more thankful for this Harvestfest.
Hannah arrived home just in time for the guests to arrive.
“The house looks great, honey!” she smiled as she walked by Travis.
They waited paitently in the living room for the guests to arrive.
Just then, Chloe made her way through the gate.
And slowly more guests poured in.
Leila entered, with a scowl on her normally perfectly cheerful face.
“I hope Dad didn’t accidently invite Ignacio too,” Annabelle sighed as she spotted Leila behind her.
Casey put on his fanciest outfit and strutted towards the living room, prepared to see his ex.
“Oh Leila! It’s so great to see you. How is life treating you? School going perfect?”
Leila glared at him. He couldn’t possibly know I didn’t get into the distinguished program, could he? She thought.
“So Annabelle told me you’re living with ghosts now! What an adventure!” Travis said. “But you know, if you ever want a house that’s not haunted to sleep in, you can always move back home.”
Carter looked at Travis. He was too proud to admit that his dad may be right. “We’ll see,” he said casually.
As everyone mingled, Chloe dropped her clothes and stood at the top of the stairs.
“Let the party begin,” she said. Nothing like a naked sim to get the party started, right? What happens next?
Jarrett realizes what his priorities are; the guests gather at the Scott house for Harvestfest.
Did You Know?
Jarrett was in a bad mood and truly didn’t want to do much of anything, as he was uncomfortable and overworked. The moment he started cooking though, he was so happy doing something he loved.
Leila arrived in a horrible mood, which was extremely fitting!
