Season 12 Episode 21 Chapter 242
The two of them arrived at Summer’s abandoned home.
“Are you sure about this?” Caiden said as he looked at Jamie.
“I’m sure,” she said.
As she stepped in front of the door, she froze.
There were so many horrible memories inside. So much trauma…
“Jamie, we don’t have to do this.”
“No. I need to do this,” she said staring through the glass.
With one more deep breath, she prepared to open the door.
Inside the house, the magic cake sat on the counter as if not a day had passed.
Jamie looked at the kitchen, uncomfortable. “This is where it happened,” she said.
“It was this cake that ended my childhood just like that.”
“It changed everything for me. Took away my power.”
Suddenly she felt a surge of panic race through her body. “Oh my god Caiden, I feel like I can’t breathe. What am I doing?!”
She sat down. “What if it backfires?! What if it doesn’t work?”
“What if it makes me evil?!”
Caiden looked at her. “You could never be evil Jamie.”
Jamie looked at Caiden as a wave of calm washed over her. She took a deep breath. “I need to do this, don’t I?”
“Jamie, you need to do whatever you feel is right — in your heart. If you do this, I’m here for you. If you don’t, I’m here for you.”
“I need to do this. I need to take my life back… and if that means I lose time again, so-be-it. The time I’ll have, will be with you… guaranteed. And there’s nothing I want more,” she paused as she gazed into his eyes. “I want my life to be mine again and I want Travitha to have a chance to have the childhood she… and I… never had.”
“Jamie, I promise you, your adult years are going to be the best years of your life. I’ll make sure of it.”
“I’ve never doubted that for a moment,” she smiled before standing up.
She walked over to the cake and put the candles on top.
“I’m ready,” she breathed.
“I love you so much, Jamie Lee,” Caiden said watching her. “You are the bravest sim I know.”
She looked at the candles as they burned. “This is so weird, Caiden. I can barely even remember celebrating a birthday.”
Caiden stood up to walk over to her. “The last time I had a real birthday was with — it was with my mom,” she said as her voice cracked. “I don’t remember much but I remember her singing to me. She was so happy. Her eyes just glistened…”
“After I became a child, she said she was going to buy me a piano since I loved music so much… but she never got the chance to.”
“Maybe one day, I’ll get a real birthday again,” she pondered. “Or maybe it’s just not in the cards for me.”
Suddenly behind her, Caiden burst into song singing Happy Birthday.
Jamie smiled as a tear formed in her eye. “Caiden…”
“Happy birthday my beautiful Jamie!” he continued to sing.
“Happy birthday to you! And many more!” he finished as she smiled at the cake.
Jamie bent down and blew out the candles as Caiden clapped beside her.
“Did that do anything?” she said staring at it.
“I don’t think it worked,” she paused as his face grew serious. “Oh my god. What does this mean? Am I frozen as a teenager forever?” Does Jamie need to become a witch to make the spell work?! Or can only the Spellcaster break the spell? What will happen if she stays a teenager forever?!

Synopsis

Jamie and Caiden head to Summer’s abandoned house to find the magic cake.

Did You Know?

  • When contemplating the plot line for Jamie, I really wanted to handle her and Travitha’s situation with care. Because of Jamie’s curse being connected to Travitha, it would’ve been entirely plausible for her to only be helping Travitha as a means to make sure her future was intact. However, by making her decide to age herself up and still take care of Travitha, I wanted to show her heart and feelings were far different. As difficult as Travitha has been, Jamie truly does want to save her and give her a better life. Her decision to age herself up has less to do with ending the curse and securing her future, and far more to do with just wanting to help her sister any way she can.
