When Hannah arrived home, Don was standing on the lawn. With no one else around, it was truly time to confront him. “And to think I wanted to start a family with you!” She yelled.
“We are over Don.”
“Over! I want you gone.”
“But babe. Hannah. Come on.”
“It was just Dina. I don’t have any feelings for her.”
“You can’t expect me to move out.”
“I just moved in. I really don’t want to move again.”
Hannah stood there glaring at him in disbelief.
He walked over to her and tried to kiss her.
“Come on babe, you can forgive me.”
She pushed him away. “Eww. What do you think you’re doing?”
“You will never kiss me again.”
“I’m finally doing what’s best for me and I can’t believe I didn’t see it before.”
“You are not what’s best for me. You will never be what’s best for me.”
“You see this ring? You can take it and shove it. Because we’re done. We’re getting a divorce right now.”
“Seriously? I put up with Travis hanging around you like a bad smell every single day and YOU’RE dumping ME?”
“unbelievable,” Don shouted. Buttercup howled. Don was finally going away for good!
Hannah stared at him with the words I hate you darting out of her eyes.
“Kiss goodbye?”
“Get out of my face. Get out of my place. We are done Don. DON-E.”
As he just stood there, Hannah wondered, “Why is he still here??”
Don just stood there in disbelief. He couldn’t believe he couldn’t talk his way out of this one. “Seriously, go,” Hannah waved him off.
This guy will not leave, she thought to herself. Don said, “Here babe, let me prove to you that I can play husband. I’ll take out the trash.”
“No, you don’t live here. Don’t you dare help me with the trash. I’ll knock it over. That’s what I’ll do, Don!” Hannah said as she kicked the trashcan over.
Yup, now I feel satisfied, Hannah thought to herself. The old woman was right. You really do have to go through the trash first before you can find the gem and leave the trash behind.
Goodbye trash. She walked off to the house, leaving all of the trash, including Don, behind.
So I’m just left with this mess? Don thought.
“Hannah??” He shouted out.
Oh my god! The game was on today. I’m going to miss it without a place to stay, Don thought.
He decided to try heading inside… did she lock me out?! He thought.
He stood there confused. How does a door just stop opening?!
He pulled out his phone. “Dina has a TV. I guess I’ll see if I can crash there…”
Meanwhile, Hannah was so furious she went into the bathroom and cut her hair into straight bangs.
“Oh Buttercup, what are we going to do now?”
She took Buttercup to the couch and pet her, trying to comfort herself. “Do you want to go for a walk?” she said to Buttercup.
